Dr. Saiful Islam is the Chairman & CEO of Saiful Bouquet. With over 30 years of experience and a very strong technical seismic and wind design background, Dr. Islam brings a unique ability to develop practical and creative design solutions to achieve the architect’s vision. He has been at the helm of numerous award winning projects and has led the design and analysis of over $15 billion in new building construction, both nationally and internationally. He has extensive experience in design of a wide spectrum of projects, including but not limited to, High rise, science & labs, educational, creative offices, Hospitality, Residential, Civic-Government, Healthcare, essential facilities, damping-base isolation, performance based design and seismic retrofit.
Dr. Islam is also experienced in alternate project delivery approach such as design-build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Public Private Partnership (P3), Lean Delivery Approach., design assist and CMAR. Dr. Islam is professionally active in the earthquake engineering community and has served on numerous task forces and local/state technical committees. He is the past President of the Los Angeles Tall Building Structural Design Council. He has authored over 50 technical papers on Seismic Design including many on “Performance Based Seismic Engineering” and presented at both national and international conferences.
