Saiful Bouquet provided full structural engineering services for the new, two-story steel framed student services building totaling approximately 40,000 square feet. The lateral system selected for the project is Special Steel Moment Frames to accommodate the expansive open exterior. The structure occur in the east area of the existing campus lawn, including accessible path of travel to the bus loop area and to the existing accessible parking lot.
The $16.3 M Student Services Building provides a complete new facility to replace the existing One-Stop Center. Student Services includes a complete range of services including Admission and Records, Counseling, Assessment, DSPS, EOPS, Financial Aid, and Transfer Center, among others. The project also include a traditional Veteran’s Resources function and a separate Veteran’s Center.
