Saiful Bouquet, Inc. provided structural design services for the new gymnasium, modernization of the existing Bonita High School Gym, and support facilities transform the physical education department at this high school.
The new gymnasium provides a full size CIF gymnasium play area, a basketball practice court, a volleyball court, bleachers, team rooms, storage areas and restrooms. It defines a new student entrance to campus adjacent to the student parking lot. The construction is of concrete masonry walls. The roof framing is of long span steel strusses with steel purlins framing between the trusses supporting an acoustical metal roof deck.
The existing gymnasium is modernized to be divided into smaller play sized education curriculum spaces supporting dance, wrestling and cheer. Both gymnasium projects are designed and built utilizing District Bond Measure funding.
