Saiful Bouquet Structural Engineers Inc. (SBI) was involved in creating fairly comprehensive Bridging Documents for Martin Luther King Hospitals’ Ambulatory Care Center and Ancillary Building.  Previously, MLK functioned as a Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center, which was comprised of an Urgent Care Center and approximately 70 specialty Outpatient Clinics. The Ambulatory Care Center is a 137,500 sq. ft., 2-story steel moment frame building with an ambulatory surgical center as well as clinical and other support services. The ancillary center is a 20,000 sq. ft., 2-story building accommodating the hospital’s entry, administration offices, and public/staff cafeteria.

“I am writing to congratulate you and your team on the outstanding accomplishment… Under your leadership, your team has helped to control the cost of the seismic retrofit and expedite the delivery of these patient care services.”
